April’s Top 50: Pinning, Saving, and Posting to Instagram

April data is live, and with it comes the monthly Top 50 post! Which sites made the cut, and which of these can walk away smiling? Read on and find out.

Pinning a Way to the Top

Image-heavy microblogging site Pinterest took our 25th spot for April’s Top 50 with a 20.86% increase in YoY UVs. Consistent growth for the social networking site is certainly commendable, and is congruent with an industry-wide interest in stunning visuals. It would be smart for businesses to create their own accounts and pinboards, as Pinterest’s progress is steadily moving forward.

Post-Filing Financial Spring Cleaning

Tax season screeched to a halt (as usual) on April 15, with taxpayers scrambling to get their paperwork filed. The first half of the month, of course,  had taxpayers filing with programs like Intuit’s TurboTax, among others. It’s no surprise that Intuit saw 30.15% YoY growth in UVs, as well as 13.84% month-over-month. But their fun doesn’t stop there — Intuit also offers other financial organizing/budgeting programs that can help you manage your expenses — a useful tool for post-filing spring cleaning.

But First, Let Me Post That on Instagram

Moving up four spots in the Compete UV ranking is the photo-beautifying social network, Instagram! The application’s website rests at #43 for the month of April, with 7.95% MoM and 15.75% YoY growth. That marks very solid progress, as both monthly and yearly unique visitor counts see considerable increases! Marking the two-year anniversary of their Android app release, the company announced a sleek new update that likely helped their monthly UV growth.


Other remarkable sites include companies like Adobe (88.54% MoM increase), CBS (cbs.com with 128.55% YoY growth), and Microsoft’s Outlook (live.com saw 44.60% YoY growth). Check out the full list below!
