Ah, February. Whether you celebrated the 14th as the day of love or as Singles’ Awareness Day, we’ve got interesting data to share with you! Who received the most Internet love? Read on and find out which websites made our Top 50.
Among the websites gathering the most unique visitors month over month were — you guessed it — tax filing ones! Intuit (maker of financial tools like TurboTax, Quickbooks, Quicken, and Mint) jumped up 45 spots to settle at February 2014′s #20. Considering it was the top site in its category this January, its continuous growth is indicative of America’s taxpayers getting down to business. The IRS’ website (which is really quite friendly), also moved up 52 spots to #25 (with a MoM growth rate of 95.81%).
In less taxing (ha!) news, image-focused social media platforms Instagram and Pinterest both saw impressive year-over-year (YoY) growth at 60.53% and 35.56%, respectively.
Now for some up-and-coming digital marketing sites! Superfish, an image recognition program that uses “badass algorithms” to make images more discoverable, snuck onto the list at #47, with 7.57% MoM growth and an incredible 413.15% YoY improvement. Taboola, a “leading content distribution and discovery platform,” saw 4.61% MoM and 355.86% YoY increases and took #48 on our leaderboard.
Other sites feeling the love were Weather.com (who moved up 3 spots), then About.com, AOL, and Twitter — each moved up 2 spots from their January rankings.
