Geo-Targeted Ads Are Coming to Twitter, Potentially As Soon As Q4. Brands will be able to show promoted tweets to users who are in close proximity to their stores using latitudinal and longitudinal data. This could be a huge opportunity for retailers who want to drive in-store traffic, especially if it is launched in time for holiday sales. Currently Twitter only targets ads to specific metro areas, not a zip code.
