Baseball is America’s pastime–so it’s only appropriate that we looked at the fastest growing baseball sites on the unofficial first weekend summer! Baseball enthusiast sites had 20 million Unique Visitors (UVs) in April. The start of baseball season attracted more attention this year; monthly traffic was up 13% over April 2012. More people did not just visit baseball sites but also spent more time on them. Attention to baseball enthusiast sites increased 69% month-over-month (MOM).

The Boston Red Sox were the second fastest growing site in April and the MLB team with the most monthly traffic! (Go Sox!) The New York Yankees were right behind as the second most visited MLB team site. They, however, they did not make the April fast movers list and their monthly traffic decreased 14% year-over-year. The MLB isn’t getting all the attention: the official website for Minor League Baseball was the fastest growing site in April having grown 115% MOM!
