Can you hear it? Can you hear the roar and shift of online traffic as the seasons change? Because we totally can. August data is now LIVE at Compete!
The return of American football take the number one spot with over a 150% growth since July. Then, the Mars Curiosity Rover lends a stellar bump to Nasa.gov. Not surprisingly, the summer Olympics secured a spot in the top ten, along with Blackboard.com as students ready themselves for the upcoming school year. And, as November gets closer, we see the ascension of MittRomney.com, picking up a 136% growth in traffic from July and bolstering his online presence in preparation for the 2012 Presidential Election. Slate Magazine’s site, Slate.com, which features stories about politics and culture, fed off this same pop trend.
But some of the top movers aren’t so pervasive. For instance, what is YardBarker.com? We didn’t know so we checked it out, and what we found was a fun aggregate-type site for rumors, gossip and humor from the best sports blogs.
Check out the list, and check out the data! Happy competing, everybody.
