Last week in Beverly Hills, CA Compete hosted the ninth annual Digital CMO Summit. The event brought together 200 industry leaders for three days of hard-hitting session and networking opportunities. The agenda was jam-packed with top-notch speakers who shared their perspectives on The Impact of Influence, the 2012 Summit theme. Over the next few weeks we plan to share with you the highlights and decks from their presentations.
First up in the 2012 Digital CMO Series is Jack Flanagan, VP of Sales at Bluefin Labs. His session, Social TV Advertising: The Super Bowl & Beyond took a deeper look into the Super Bowl to see which parts of the year’s biggest advertising platform resonated and caused social buzz; and looked beyond the Super Bowl as to what successful marketers will need to do to win in this new world of Social TV.
Jack defined three key areas where successful TV advertisers will need to focus for the future:
- Set social media goals for TV ad campaigns
- Optimize TV media & creatives to reach social media goals
- Measure social media performance of TV ads in realtime
