It’s no surprise that so many more people are shopping online these days. Aside from accessibility, every type of shop is at your fingertips.
Etsy.com is a crafters paradise, setting it apart from other retail sites, Etsy is not your traditional online shopping experience. The online crafting community allows you to search by color, handmade or vintage materials as well as locally.
Since Nordstrom.com is a mass merchant site, it is no surprise that they have a high number of monthly unique visitors. However, Freepeople.com and Ruelala.com see a similar traffic for a specialty apparel site and exclusive online shopping site respectively.
Looking further at Compete.com we can see that the average stay for visitors to Etsy.com is approximately 8.5 minutes. Looking at Pages/Visit we can see that the average Etsy visitors views approximately 16 pages per visit.
To gain some perspective, let’s compare this to our other retail sites.
Freepeople.com sees an average stay of approximately 5.5 minutes and 9 pages per visit.
Ruelala.com sees a similar trend with an average stay of 5 minutes and approximately 10 pages per visit. Which leads us to wonder why people are visiting more pages on Esty.com over these other sites? Are more people buying on Etsy.com or are they merely searching?
