Quick Tip: Customizing Ranked Lists

In addition to our Search and Referral analytics tools, Compete PRO offers configurable, exportable, and embeddable Ranked Lists. These lists can be organized in a number of different ways in order to tailor it most closely to your needs. Since this is an introduction to the tool I will review navigating and configuring the lists below.

Navigating To The Ranked Lists Tool

Up at the top menu bar select Analytics Tools, then select Ranked Lists.

Step 1 – Select The Metric To Rank The Websites

In the image below, the ranked list will be ranked by number of Visits. You have the option of selecting Unique Visitors, Visitors, Page Views, Total Time Spent, or Monthly Attention.

Step 2 – Select Which Data Points You’d Like To Include

In the image below, the rank list will include all metrics if Ranking + All Metrics is selected. I find this to be the most comprehensive option for use outside of Compete.

Step 3 – Select The Number Of Domains You’d Like To Include

Pro Intro users have access to the top 200 Domains, Standard Users have access to the top 1,000 Domains, and Advanced users have access to the top 15,000 as part of their subscriptions.

Step 4 – Download Your List

Simply press the “Get My List” button and you will be prompted to save the list to your computer or to open it in the appropriate spreadsheet program.
