Search Analytics reports’ left sidebar helps you do some of the heavy lifting by giving you two types of filtering, Search Insights and Manual Filtering. Today we’re covering the in’s and out’s of using Search Insights, stay tuned next week as we’ll cover Manual Filtering.
Pre-configured filters to help you make sense of long keyword lists, e.g. Highly Engaging Keywords, High Traffic Keywords, Paid Keywords. These search insights will differ depending on what type of search report you’re viewing for context purposes. When you export the list, Compete will only send the filtered data to the CSV spreadsheet for export.
1. You can find out more information about what the filter is by clicking on the “How do I use this data?” link next to the light bulb icon. (shown below)
2. A pop-up will appear giving you the filters of the Search Insight you’re looking at. If you need to filter further to make the list more manageable you can do so my manually adjusting the filters in the Filter Keyword section just below Search Insights.
