Just the other day I received an email from my best friend to participate in a holiday recipe email exchange chain. The email got me pretty excited because one of my favorite parts of the holiday season is baking and cooking holiday goodies. It also sparked my excitement to return home for the holidays, to the sweet smells of holiday cooking.
Every year my mom spends hours in the kitchen baking multiple types of cookies, cakes, meats, pastas, sauces, dips, and the list goes on and on. My mom is lucky enough to have saved up recipes from her many years in the kitchen, and occasionally finds a new one in one of her favorite cooking books or magazines that she wants to try. However, not everyone is lucky enough to have an archive of recipes and subscriptions to cooking magazines, so where do they all turn for their holiday recipes, of course, the internet. So I decided to check out three popular recipe websites and see if what I thought was accurate—consumers turn to the internet for holiday recipes.
It’s easy to see the obvious spike in these graphs comes in December, just as I imagined. This time of the year proves to be the most popular time to for cooking and baking and finding new recipes…online. Where will you find your recipes for this holiday season?!
