Introducing our new weekly blog, the “Online Football Power Rankings” blog.  Each week we will look at Saturday’s Daily Reach for sites in the College Sports Team Sites category and Sunday’s Daily Reach for sites in the NFL Team Sites category.  Daily Reach is defined by how many people visit a specific site as a percentage of all daily U.S. Internet users.

NCAA (9/18)

Michigan and Denard “Shoelace” Robinson continued their winning ways on Saturday, despite a valiant effort displayed on the field by the UMass Minutemen.  Michigan also took over the top position on the Compete NCAA Online Power Rankings on Saturday, beating out AP top ranked Alabama and Ohio State.  University of Kentucky fans also continued to stay passionate towards their Wildcats, as they look forward to this weekend’s matchup with the University of Florida.  Next week we’ll see if the top 10 matchup between Alabama and Arkansas shakes things up.

NFL (9/19)

On a Sunday that saw “America’s Team” fall to 0-2, the Dallas Cowboys continued their stranglehold on the top spot on the NFL Online Power Rankings on Sunday.  The Oakland Raiders vaulted themselves into the top 10 of this week’s Power Rankings, up 9 spots from last week’s rankings.  Raiders.com should receive more attention this week as fans look to research Bruce Gradkowski who was named this week’s starter versus the Cardinals.

We’re looking forward to this weekend’s games; can Dallas rebound on the road against a strong 2-0 Houston team?  Reliant Stadium is a tough place to play and beat the Texans.  What about the slow starting 49ers visiting the up and coming Chiefs at Arrowhead, can the Chiefs continue to surprise?  Let us know who you are rooting for this weekend and check back next week to see what team made some noise in the Power Rankings.
