- Search query volume across the 5 engines picked up slightly in May (up 2.5% from April), driving small shifts in search market share.
- Google’s share of the search market declined by 0.2ppts, although its query volume increased by 2.3%.
- While Microsoft’s share of the search market declined by 0.1ppt, the growth of Yahoo! by 0.5ppts resulted in an increase for Bing Powered engines M-O-M.
- Yahoo! experienced the largest growth in queries, driving a 0.5ppt M-O-M increase in share.
- All 5 engines saw slight increases in the number of unique visitors from April to May except for AOL which remained flat.

It will be interesting to see if Google’s search market share will remain constant or if Bing and Yahoo will continue to chip away at it. Bing has seen a fairly steady increase over the last few months, but are they done growing?
I hope Bing picks up. They seem to be more fair to newer online businesses in terms rotating page 1 listings based on relevancy. With Google, they have grandfathered really old URLs with no site optimization and they are still on page 1 results. I’m trying to get my product to the top of Google, it was easy in Bing
Wow, Bing’s going ganbusters. I expect the marketing campaign helped. Ask.com, though, is a surprise. I wonder why they’re gaining.
BTW, I think you might have May-10 query volume summed wrong. Probably double-counted BIng.

i believe by the end of 2013 bing is going to win google and facebook can be the next biggest company..according to my search engine share analysis!
