are looking for REAL deals. As far as I know they got many people angry at them doing that including the Gap group which prevents them from displaying any relevant information on their site. It’s a total waste of my time, so are a couple of other sites in this listing. these people look for me clicking on their links for which they are paid

I totally agree Retailmenot is what Blackhat SEO people call a scrapper, they scrap info from other sites (at least that's how they started back 3 years ago). the fact that the site looks good doesn't cut it for people like me who are looking for REAL deals. As far as I know they got many people angry at them doing that including the Gap group which prevents them from displaying any relevant information on their site. It's a total waste of my time, so are a couple of other sites in this listing. these people look for me clicking on their links for which they are paid for.
There is yet to find a quality, reliable source other that a couple of forums I know of. Traffic is not quality and consumers are mislead into thinking they MAY find a good info and they end up with affiliate cookies all over the place and no deal.

I don't like retailmenot much. many of the coupons there are unreliable. you really have to search the site to find a good deal

There are tons of coupons out there and I believe that you are not going to be able to find every single one on a single site. Retail me not does a great job, however; since they are 'user' driven, I wonder how many coupons they're actually listing themselves....???

Hey James, have you seen Wishabi.ca? It's a pretty new site but it's got great deals and price analysis for Canada. It shows some US offerings, but only those that actually ship to Canada and includes stuff like duties and brokerage.

I know that I come across alot of sites that offer print out coupons. What I am waiting for is when the coupons are just digital. Send it to my phone and when I show up at the store I can just show them my blackberry. Paperless baby!!

FW beating out Slickdeals - interesting. Worth mentioning that both those sites are more useful in their forums, not the deal/coupon postings elsewhere.

@Jaan - they use affiliate marketing for revenue more than Adsense. For isntance, when someone posts about a free hard drive after rebate at Staples on FW or SD's forum, and thousands of people buy it - the coupon site makes a % off of every sale they just referred.

That's how Tim Storm of FW has managed to build a campus in Chicagoland for his company.
