I have to question your ideas of what a smartphone is.

While feature phones have been growing in capabilities, they're still not a smartphone.

Smartphones are closer to little computers in your hand which allow the user to do far more than a typical feature phone. Smartphones are usually limited to their Operating Systems and those are Palm OS, Windows Mobile, Blackberry, Symbian, Linux and OSX Touch. Basically, there has to be some possibility of displaying PDFs/Office docs and the user interacts with the phone itself and not the carrier.

Featurephones are highly hamstring'd devices meant to be limited to that which the provider wants the user to have access to. They're not meant to view complex documents or allow the user to interact with the phone but are meant to force the user to interact with what the carrier allows.

Of the phones that are listed, only the Blackberry Pearl Flip and the Verizon Wireless PN-820 are actually smartphones.

Now, if your point was that the Blackberry Pearl Flip appeals to the consumer market and these are the other high-end flip phones that the consumer market, rather than the business market, were shopping around, that'd be a perfectly valid argument.
