I am very glad and surprised to see google at top. But yahoo is having a disappointing web share, I think yahoo can increase a little bit but not sure about msn. And this page is very good, i wish you good luck.

I guess the reason Yahoo is going down for the last two Quarters has more to do with Jerry Yang’s boneheaded ideas and direction, rather than any technical innovations.

Jeremy, % engine share of UV’s would be an interesting measure to examine ie. also want to answer how many more/less people using Yahoo Search, etc.

Is Yahoo!’s reduced share due to better search assist?

I recollect that Yahoo! launced Search Assist (a much more smarter way of suggesting keywords to “searchers”) around the October 2007 time frame. It is interesting to watch the search market share trend down from that time onwards (which was resonably steady at about 24% till then). A smarter suggestion will definitely reduce the number of queries.

What do you guys think about it?
