Can someone explain to me, isn't obopay infringing on paypal's patent. Obopay has several parent pending but they all seem like they are basically the same as paypals patent. I wonder why Paypal hasn't sued Obopay and why would companies like Verizon, Citi and MasterCard do business with Obopay if it looks like they are infringing on PayPal patent?

i signed up with no prob. and about 8 days later got a pre-paid mastercard in the mail with the $10.00 on it. Gonna see how many friends can get to sign up and collect the 5 for each of them! :-)

PayPal is lightyears ahead of Obopay which, by the way, isn't available for Canadians — even when they need to travel to Boston and Chicago on a regular basis.

The toll-free number, at Obopay, is a nice touch, though.

I tried to sign up for services and was told at this time I could not sign up. I wasn't given a reason and there is not any FAQ to why a person would be denied.

I'll stick with PayPal until a better service proves itself.
