I have to agree that Edwards seems the only viable candidate. I'm not worried about Obama's lack of experience (I don't really think it's a problem), but I am worried about his lack of... gumption, for lack of a better word. He seems blithely confident that things will work out, that he can talk the corporate powers into being reasonable, and I just don't have it in me to emulate his attitude.

Edwards is a different story. I have confidence that he will fight tooth and nail for the liberties and welfare of the American people.

Interesting perspective. I believe Democratic Primary voters will appreciate the positive differences between John Edwards and the other candidates before "the fat lady sings." Polls don't tell the whole story because they aren't reflecting the many thoughtful voters who still are undecided. I see Edwards earning a majority of those votes. Don't count on a ride into the sunset for John Edwards unless the sun sets over the White House.

likkerish sounds like he is part of the "smear obama campaign". When he graducated college, he took a $13,000. (before taxes) job to do community service for a church group, which is where he first started talking to everyday people about their wants, needs and concerns, He is against the kind of government corruption that allows wealthy corporations to make our laws. Halliburton, Kellogg, Root & Brown, the Bush and Cheney war profiteers going back to Prescott Bush and Hitler days (including Viet Nam), Hoffman La-Roche/Bird Flu vaccine and so on. He purposely geared his campaign fundraising efforts to gather small, indidvidual contributors as a gesture to showing he is not interested in "sleeping with" those corps you accuse him of being aligned with.

He "cleverly" uses his oratory talent to spur people to take their own action on a community level to make positive changes, rather than relying on him or anyone else to do so for us. He is a motivator and motives to do better. He truly believes in the Constitution and a government "of, for and by he people". Just because you personally do not believe that does not make it any less true. After GWB/Cheney/Billl Clinton, the citizen's BS detactors are fine tuned.

Mike Gravel?

By the way, again I urge you to let me install a simple plug-in rather than a big toolbar to help you guys out. Wish you'd respond to that idea.

So hard for companies to figure out basic things...

There is good reason to comment on pro-Obama statements. Obama cleverly, by virtue of his talent for oratory, leads people to believe that he is for "the people" when compelling evidence shows that he is very deeply connected to big corporate interests that are pro-war, e.g, the Crown Family of Chicago and General Dynamics, which is a big war profiteer. Yet, the Barack Star would have you believe that he is anti-war. See: "The Audacity of Fraud" by Pierre Tristam for starters:

http://pierretristam.com/Bobst/07/cn070607.htm

The great majority of America is mesmerized by this Pied Piper, this Wizard, hiding behind the curtain. He is a political charlatan who is a pro-war, pro-corporate wolf, masquerading in a sweet lamb's clothing. He is even unwilling to take the nuclear option off the table! This is why I call him SuperBambi. He is just as juvenile as George Bush, and I would not want his finger on the nuclear button. Growing up in Hawaii, he played basketball and was known as "Obomba" because of shooting long range bombs from outside. He liked the name, and apparently still does. Today, as we wait for the launching of long range bombs on Iran, he is not objecting.

Another appropriate concern is his support for subsidies for big corporations which robs each of us and puts money in the pockets of those who also supported George Bush.

I challenge you to question the veracity of your beliefs about Obama and to look behind the curtain, as I did, and find the ambitious juvenile who is playing at being grown up. He has been bought many times over by corporate interests and is only "interested" in yours to get elected.

After the past years in darkness and hatred cultivated by a Republican held Congress, even Republicans are deflecting to vote for Obama in the Primary election. There is even a website "Republicans for Obama". Obama supporters are out registering people to vote, whereas Ron Paul supporters sit in front of their computers to search out and comment on anything pro-Obama. Some of them are downright nasty using the double F-words. Does not bode well for Ron Paul that is the type of following he attracts with his leadership. Thanks for sharing this info.

Well, I have to say, although I'm a staunch conservative and voting for Ron Paul '08, between Hillary and Obama I'll gladly take the latter. I hope that these figures really are an indication of his strength over Hillary.

I also think it's fascinating, in a scary way, how much more traffic the Dem sites have generated. Of course, I'm no fan of any of the major GOP canddiates, but I'd still prefer them to a Dem - and if hits are votes, that's not gonna happen.
