American idol. America's perpetual grasp at the most imprtant things in life. This show lowers the intellect of our nation almost as much as G. Bush who created in the minds of the world a laughable image of Americans. American Idol is so popular it drowns out the screams of legitimate artists and those who are actual creative, orginal, and artistic. The refrain of the same sound bellows from the stage whether they are what you consider good or not. One hit wonders just like the singers they portray.Too me, it's just a waste of space, and to be very clear I've watched a maximum of 15 minutes of the show. And not at the same time. It's the same rot every week. The really sad parts are that these people who perform and win believe they are talented. Talent comes from originality and that program lacks the minimum qualifications . The judges have a great, high paying job and for that I can see no fault except that Paula Abdul was once very talented and it's a shame to see her with those two, "who are they" characters beside her.Thank God for the channel changer. But Christ, we all know this show isn't aout the people or their so-called talent. It's about the advertisers plus the money and distance they can squeeze from the show. Maybe next a broadwat show based on the proram but first one of the judges will certainly come up with a book soon. God, this countries embarrasing. Wait, wee could have the presidential debaes between asl the candidates on the show and the vast audience could decide on the winner. God, the people in this country are amazing.
