Just a quick follow-up to Thursday’s post about Second Life. It looks like the Avatar Marketing phenomenon is growing day-by-day. Starwood hotels is in the process of building a virtual version of their new Aloft brand hotels in the Second Life realm. 3pointD.com were one of the first to spot the build in progress.

This September, Starwood Hotels will become the first company in history to open a new hotel brand inside of a virtual world. You can follow their progress at VirtualAloft.com.

Also, for all you golfers out there, 3PointD.com also notes a new virtual golf capability in Second Life called Flog! So now you can take a little virtual golf vacation and stay at one of the finest virtual resorts. Check it out …
