Recently a winning Powerball lottery ticket was sold in Lincoln, Nebraska, ending weeks of hype, as well as the hopes and dreams of millions of us who still have to work. While the Powerball jackpot was rising, so was the traffic to Powerball.com. The promise of a $365 million payout helped attract an estimated 845,848 visitors. This was almost a 50% increase from Week 5.

If you live in or near one of the 28 states that offer Powerball it is worthwhile to take a look at this site. You can check out the winning numbers and even sign up to have them automatically emailed to you. It’s not likely that you’ll get good news when you view the numbers — the odds of winning the big jackpot are a staggering 1 in 146 Million. But you can’t win if you don’t play…
